Kerry Express and Grab to co-offer Thailand’s first instant parcel pickup service Launching this Valentine’s Day season through Kerry Express application

Kerry Express (Thailand) Public Company Limited, Thailand’s leading express delivery service, adds new service to the market this valentine’s day season. Starting in the beginning of 2022, Kerry Express will provide Instant Pick-up Service, where parcels will be picked up within 30 minutes and Express Pick-up service, which will be available on Kerry Express application. To extend the variety of services and coverage, KEX will partner with GRAB Thailand which will firstly pilot in greater Bangkok. 

Mr. Alex Ng, CEO of Kerry Express (Thailand) Public Company Limited, reveals that “In the past, we found that many of Kerry Express’ customers chose to use rider service or a messenger to deliver the parcel to our store so that they can avoid the traffic, traveling fee, and save time. To fulfill this unmet need, Kerry Express has developed the Door-To-Door Instant Pickup and Express Pickup, with two more upgrades including;

  1. Instant Pick-Up Service
  2. Express Pick-Up service with an hourly schedule. 

By joining forces with “Grab Thailand”, whose strength lies in a rider-partner base and fast deliveries, Kerry will be able to provide a parcel pick-up service through Kerry Express Application. The Instant Pick-Up Service is suitable for merchants who already packed their items and seek immediate delivery or those who have limitations of time, Customers can use the service through Kerry Express Application by tapping the instant pick up service and rider-partner to pick up the items within 30 minutes. 

Meanwhile, merchants who have a fixed delivery schedule can enjoy Express Pick-Up Service, in which rider-partners pick up the parcels on an hourly basis. Both services will have rider-partners pick up the package and drop off to the nearest Kerry Express Parcel Shop. There will be no extra charges on the shipping fee and will be the same as the fee at the Kerry Express parcel shop. The receipt will be sent to the registered email and the Kerry Express Application.

On the other hand, Grab is considered to be a strong ally in terms of brand, speedy delivery, and reliability, with its large database of rider-partners in Thailand. We have spotted potentially unserved demand, especially the group of people who are willing to pay for the best, fast and safe parcel delivery service. We expect to see the growth of user base from thousands to a hundred thousand of users post-launch in February onwards. In addition to our track record of cost management, this collaboration leverages on our existing resources and doesn’t require additional cost. This service will immediately pave way for additional income stream for Grab drivers”.

Customers can enjoy the convenience of using the express parcel pick-up services via Kerry Express Application with our rider-partner pick-up services that are available in two options: instant and Express. The new services are distinguished from other standard services thanks to the combination of Kerry’s existing service shops available throughout the country and Grab’s hundreds of thousands of riders and driver-partners operating across Thailand.
